Qatar Stadium Designs for World Cup 2022
This years football World Cup has yet to launch and already nations across the globe are preparing their bid for the 2022 tournament.
These images of a range of solar powered stadiums arose recently and come from the country of Qatar. They are breath-taking, if not a little ambitious, and have the potential to service the needs of all World Cup-goers alike.
The climate control system proposed is of extremely high caliber and will allow the desert-like heat to be curtailed during match time.
As great as these may be, I am more fascinated by what the Japanese are proposing… 3-D match viewing in global stadium destinations. You don’t have to leave your country to see a three dimensional match of football. (See here for more).

Oh wow. When I loaded this post I thought I would see some large gold blocks plonked down in the middle of nowhere. How wrong was I?
Seriously, less tacky than I presumed - the climate feature is one of the most brilliant innovations to hit the middle east. Could save insurmountable amounts of money and non-renewable resources.
