Ramadan in 2010
Between sunrise and sunset, a fast from food, drink, smoke and intercourse is adhered to by millions of Muslim women and men across the planet. The fasting process lasts a month, however ‘Iftar’ meals are consumed after sunset – starting with a date and ending with a traditional meal sitting. One is also asked to read the entire Qua’ran in order to become closer to God.
Ramadan is set to end on September 9th this year.
