Lapsing Time in Northwest Indiana

I’ve never really thought about Northwest Indiana before, but Eric Hines‘s stunning time-lapse made me want to visit. A glance at Wikipedia tells me that Indiana is located in the Midwestern United States and Great Lakes Region and, more specifically, that Northwest Indiana, also known as South Shore and The Calumet Region or simply The Region, comprises Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton and Jasper counties in Indiana.

With help from Kessler Crane, Hines’ sequences were “shot on the 5D Mark II in RAW format, then edited in Lightroom, and compiled in After Effects. For motion control [he used] the Kessler Crane Cineslider, KC-8 Crane, and Revolution Head, along with the Oracle Controller.” [vimeo]

Prepare yourself for an array of lilac sunrises, violet night skies, striking architecture in fields of corn, drifting speckled clouds and swaying forests, flowing rivers, seas at night, spinning wind Turbines and jet trails like shooting stars.
