Kendra Pierre-Louis

Biography

Hailing from the New York City borough of Queens, Kendra Pierre-Louis has worked for the United Nations Environment Programme’s Convention on Biological Diversity, the environmental consulting firm Terrapin Bright Green and the New York Botanical Gardens. She has a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University and an M.A. in Sustainable Development from the SIT Graduate Institute. Kendra credits her environmentalism, in part, to her belief that everyone should have the pleasure to be awed and terrified by nature on a semi-regular basis.Her first book Green Washed is due out on Ig Publishing in March 2012.
